Coastal & Beach
Salt air, a higher marine-layer humidity and sand tracked in from the beach are hard on solid wood. Engineered hardwood and waterproof SPC hold their shape far better this close to the ocean.
South Bay & Harbor
A lot of the housing stock here is post-war and built on slab, which rules out nail-down solid hardwood. Glue-down engineered wood and rigid-core SPC are the materials that suit it.

Hot, dry summers, cool nights and Santa Ana winds swing indoor humidity more than anywhere else we work. Dimensional stability matters most here, which is why we lean to engineered wood and SPC.

Which areas do you cover?

Is the price different depending on where I am?
The work is priced the same way everywhere: material, labour, subfloor preparation and removal. What can vary between neighbourhoods is access, parking and building requirements in managed buildings, and we factor that into the written estimate rather than adding it later.
Do you charge to travel out to me?
No. The in-home consultation and estimate are free anywhere in our service area, and the mobile showroom comes with us so you can see samples in your own light.
Do you work in apartments and condo buildings?
Yes, regularly. Managed buildings usually have rules on working hours, lift use, insurance certificates and acoustic underlayment ratings. We are used to meeting those requirements, so tell us the building at the first visit and we will handle the paperwork.
